The Tories are heading in the direction of an electoral “iceberg” until Rishi Sunak is dumped as chief, Simon Clarke has warned.
The previous cupboard minister – who final evening referred to as for the prime minister to be ousted by his MPs – stated the Conservatives are heading for “a shattering defeat” until they modify course.
His feedback, in an interview with the BBC, is an extra problem to Sunak’s authority as he struggles to show round his celebration’s fortunes.
In an article in at this time’s Each day Telegraph, Clarke stated the Tories had been “meekly sleepwalking in the direction of an avoidable annihilation” with Sunak on the helm.

Clarke stated it was “a second of choice for the Conservative Get together” and identified that the opinion polls had bought even worse for the Tories underneath Sunak.
