ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. returned to the beginning lineup Friday for Toronto’s sequence opener in opposition to the Tampa Bay Rays.
Guerrero, who missed many of the final two video games with proper knee discomfort, was slated to bat third because the designated hitter.
Cavan Biggio was set to bat cleanup and play Guerrero’s ordinary place of first base.
Guerrero was changed by a pinch-runner late in Tuesday’s sport in New York after he seemed to be bothered by his leg whereas operating to first base.
