A Tory minister has stop the federal government as a result of her “persistent” migraines make it “not possible” for her to do the job.

Dehenna Davison introduced on X, previously Twitter, that she was resigning as levelling up minister with quick impact.

She is being changed by Redcar MP Jacob Younger.

Davison, who was elected MP for Bishop Aukland in 2019, mentioned: “Sadly for a while now I’ve been battling with persistent migraine, which has had a fantastic affect on my capacity to hold out the position.

“Some days I’m fantastic, however on others it’s tough, if not not possible, to maintain up with the calls for of being a minister – and the timing of such days is rarely predictable.

“Although I’ve tried to mitigate, and am grateful to colleagues for his or her endurance at instances, I don’t really feel it’s proper to proceed within the position.

“At such a crucial time for levelling up, I consider the folks of communities like mine, and throughout the nation, deserve a minister who may give the job the power it wants. I remorse that I not can.”

Davison introduced final November that she wouldn’t be standing on the subsequent election, becoming a member of the rising exodus from parliament of Conservative MPs.
