Following vocal chord points that triggered her to sound like “Holly Willoughby with bronchitis,” Susanna Reid made her comeback on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday.
The 52-year-old broadcaster had been lacking from the present since her voice failed her throughout final Tuesday evening’s Nationwide Tv Awards (NTAs).
Upon her grand return to the ITV morning stalwart, Reid mentioned how her croaky voice left her feeling like she had “smoked 20 cigarettes a day”.
She instructed her co-host Ed Balls: “I felt like I’d been vaping. I appeared like I’d been smoking 20 a day. It’s so irritating.
“ I believe I sound like Holly [Willoughby] you understand she’s bought that little catch in her voice, which is so interesting. However about two days in the past, I appeared like I had Holly however with bronchitis.
“I had no voice in any respect on Saturday evening and I don’t actually perceive what’s gone unsuitable. I felt mildly in poor health, nothing you wouldn’t work by means of.
“If everybody stayed off once they had the gentle sniffles then work wouldn’t get finished.”
The ITV star pulled out of her GMB presenting duties on the final minute on Wednesday morning after dropping her voice on the earlier evening’s NTAs and was changed by colleague Charlotte Hawkins.
